Music, or the instrument?
At one point in time, a hunter noticed that when the string on his bow vibrated, it created a tone… then he put the bow to his head and realized that he could amplify the vibrations, and soon to follow….the electric guitar and amplifier… lesson over.
I was asked earlier this week how I put all of the music inside of my ukuleles…”It takes a lit of work” I answered. My the truth is that I don’t put any music into my instruments, I believe that the music is the most important aspect of what I do. Granted I do not make the music, but I am the one that puts all the notes inside the instruments, it’s the musicians job to coax them out… and in the right order if I might add.
There is no doubt that I got into building instruments for the sake of the music. although I consider myself a better than average musician, I will leave the music making to those who do it best.
